Job Description & Responsibilities

EVRAZ Recycling is seeking an experienced Safety Supervisor to join their team. The incumbent will be responsible to ensure employee safety, OS&H compliance and EVRAZ Recycling Safety Program Compliance. This position will be based in Regina, Saskatchewan with frequent travel to other sites in Saskatchewan and North Dakota, and will report to the HSE Manager, Recycling.
Support development and implementation of programs to train managers, supervisors, and employees in work-site safety practices, hazard recognition, and control compliance
Audit worksites for non-compliance safety issues and recommend corrective actions.
Conducts safety training or education programs and demonstrate the use of safety equipment
Support Site Managers in compiling and submitting Incident reports required by Safety Management System and regulatory agencies
Support delivery of new-employee health and safety orientations
Ensure compliance with the Injury Management
Coordinates right-to-know programs regarding hazardous chemicals or other substances
Act as an expert resource to Joint Workplace Health & Safety Committees
Performs other duties as they might be assigned

Requirements
Post Secondary Education in Occupational Health & Safety or Equivalent
Safety program management experience and training
3-5 years Health and Safety experience in a manufacturing facility
Posses a sound working knowledge of Safety Management System principles, procedures, and regulations
Knowledge of COR programs and auditing
Experience with Root Cause Analysis
Strong written and oral communication skills.
