Overview:
As part of the Community and Leisure Services Department, the City of Humboldt is currently seeking to fill a permanent full-time Recreation and Community Event Coordinator.

Reporting to the Director of Community and Leisure Services, the Recreation and Community Event Coordinator will provide direction and support for the development of recreational opportunities within the community and assist in the hosting of community events and activities.

The position will be responsible for working with community organizations and facility user groups to coordinate use of City facilities and spaces, as well as to assist developing capacity for delivering recreational activities within the community. The position will plan, implement, promote, and evaluate City involved programs and events. The position will also seek to leverage City resources with external partnerships and funding opportunities to meet the goals and objectives of the region as they relate to recreational activities.

Qualifications:
    Post-secondary certification in Recreation, Event Hosting, Business Development or a related field from a recognized institution.
    A minimum of two years experience in recreation programming and event hosting activities, experience in a municipal or related setting is an asset.
    Valid Class 5 Drivers License
    Satisfactory Criminal Record Check

Compensation:
This is an out-of-scope position, with a salary range of $49,399 to $59,279 (2022 rates).
