Description

Position requires an organized, reliable individual to take control of all material receiving duties in a steel fabrication shop.
Preference given to knowledge of steel - types, thickness, etc.

Good communication skills; interaction with customers and delivery personnel required.

Responsible for receiving, verifying, unloading and storing all incoming material.
Individual is required to prioritize and store  material based on delivery schedules.
All work must be performed in a safe and efficient manner.

MUST HAVE overhead crane experience, there are no forklifts.

Loading of trucks, and delivery of product is required. Must have the ability to drive a standard transmission, and be comfortable with driving a loaded 3 ton  and 1 ton truck and trailer. Must have a clean, valid class 5 license. G-endorsement a benefit.

As time allows, general shop and yard housekeeping is a requirement of this position.
