Facility: MENTAL HEALTH OUTPATIENT
Job Description: The incumbent is accountable for the provision of direct concurrent mental health and addiction services to adults and their families. These services include case management, individual and group counselling, and public education/consultation in the area of mental health and addictions. The incumbent shall apply recovery principles and function within practices of Mental health and Addictions program management model.
Required Qualifications

Degree in Chemical Dependency studies or another Baccalaureate discipline (generally Social Sciences or Human Services) acceptable to the Employer
Eligibility for registration in corresponding professional association
Valid Saskatchewan Drivers license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Knowledge of addictions screening and assessment tools and procedures
Ability and willingness to travel and work flexible hours including evenings/weekend as required
Ability to work with a variety of individuals presenting with complex issues including but not limited to concurrent disorders
Knowledge of best practices in the addictions field and harm reduction strategies
Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced work environment with complex cases, including making immediate decisions, providing clinical direction and advice to staff in crises
Apply ethical, culturally sensitive and legal principles in practice with at-risk individuals and their families.  Apply ethical, culturally sensitive and legal principles in practice with at-risk individuals and their families.
