Description

Parkland College is accepting applications for a Welding Instructor (Print Reading) for the upcoming academic semester. This position is a term position for 98 hours (16.33 days) from January 4, 2022 - April 1, 2022.

The Opportunity:
This position is primarily responsible for instruction of the Print Reading (PRNT 101) course within the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Welding Certificate program. Tasks include preparing and delivering lessons, assignments, lectures, and exams.  Instructors will use technology in their delivery when possible to enhance students learning experience.

Requirements:
-Educational qualification for this position is related degree or diploma in Computer Aided Design and Drafting Technology or Grade 12 or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
-Minimum of Recent/relevant experience (2 years in the last 5) in the Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) field.
-Must be a member, or eligible for certification with APEGS as a P.Eng or with SASTT as an A.Sc.T.
Preference will be given to candidates with previous instructional experience
-Must meet Saskatchewan Polytechnic qualifications and receive necessary approval
-Demonstrated experience working in a cross-cultural environment.
- Effective communication skills (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
-Effective instructional ability.
