DUTIES:
Provide administrative support to Supervisors and Student Achievement professionals which may include responding to requests from Social Services, Regina City Police and TRiP (i.e. student information in PowerSchool), handling confidential requests from schools for professional services, support work/data entry with regard to student referrals and requests, daily work/updating demographic information in student information system (PowerSchool), maintaining student cumulative records (archived and current) located at Division Office, support home-based education requests through registrar, responding to requests and searching for student information when required by division-based professional staff (i.e. psychologists, SLPs, counsellors).
Prepare and circulate correspondence as needed.
Coordinate arrangements for meetings and workshops.
Interact with professional staff members, schools, parents and community.
Provide coverage to the Admin III working the Superintendents, when required.
Provide switchboard/reception/mail coverage when necessary.
Carry out general office duties as assigned, such as providing general information by telephone, email and in-person inquiries, route calls, and relay messages; as well as open school mail and prepare outgoing mail.
QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Post-secondary secretarial related studies or experience.
Excellent keyboarding skills with a typing speed of 60 - 70 w.p.m.
Superior secretarial, organizational, time management and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Demonstrated history of excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
Understanding of the need for precision and accuracy in data entry, and a demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy.
Sound working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Power Point programs.
Willingness to work in new areas, learn new skills and technologies.
