Description

Regina Immigrant Women Centre (RIWC) is a non-profit organization which provides programming and services for the education, integration, enrichment and empowerment of Newcomer, Refugee and Immigrant Women and their families to facilitate and support their smooth integration within the Regina community.  
RIWC is looking for a Program Assistant to join the finance team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Degree in accounting with 2-3 years of Canadian experience
-A working knowledge of QuickBooks
-Payroll
-Knowledge of Canadian Taxes/Deductions
-Proficiency un MS Office- Word and Excel
-Good verbal and written English communication skills
DUTIES AND ABILITIES:
-Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts posting transactions
-Update and maintain the general ledger
-Reconcile all the entries into the accounting Software- QuickBooks
-Maintain the trail balance, by reconciliation of general ledger
-Maintain Accounts Receivables and  Accounts Payables
-Preparing financial reports by analysing, collecting, and condensing account trends and information.
-Payroll
-Monitor any variances from the projected budget
-Work with youth newcomers in a class environment
-Knowledge of labour market in Regina
-Ability to write and edit documents
-Ability to multitask and prioritize
-Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with tight deadlines
-Dependable and able to work without supervision
