LEON Mfg., located in Yorkton, SK, is seeking a qualified, professional individual to fill the role of Financial Accountant. Reporting to the Controller, the Financial Accountant is responsible for:

Treasury operations:
Preparation of monthly cash forecast, preparing monthly reports, communicating with other departments to obtain information on the status of departmental cash flow.

Assist in the preparation of budgets/forecast:
Preparation of the budget presentation, preparing monthly reports, communicating with other departments to obtain information on the status of departmental & project budgets and associated cash flow.

Responsible for preforming month-end duties which include:
Preparing month-end journal entries, performing analysis of relevant GL accounts, Reporting month end results in accounting software, responsible for fixed asset accounting for head office and non-operated joint ventures, perform other related tasks as required.

Skills and Qualifications for the position include:
Accounting Degree, with 3 years relevant experience, highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience using M2M an asset, excellent planning and organization skills to coordinate efforts and meet deadlines, excellent time management skills, analytical skills, and able to prioritize work effectively. Strong oral and written communication skills, cooperative and collaborative, able to work as part of a team, honest, ethical, and respects confidentiality.
