Humboldt Cooperative Daycare is looking to hire an executive director.
The daycare operates a 40 space program with a newly added infant (6 weeks of age +) program. We also offer Before and After School services for students attending St. Augustine School.
Hours of operation are 7:30am-6:00pm Monday-Friday.
The board is seeking a candidate to start by the end of December 2021/early January 2022.
The successful candidate will have some demonstrated experience as well as a passion to work with children.
Compensation will be based on experience and education.
Requirements:
- ECE Level 3 or taking classes to become a level 3
- criminal record check and vulnerable sector search
- First Aid certificate
- Food Safe certificate
Job Description:
- Complete annual licensing requirements and ensure the centre operates in compliance with The Child Care Act and The Child Care Regulations
- Ensure the implementation of appropriate developmental programming and oversee menu planning
- Ensure effective communication with families, address parent concerns, and act as a liasion between the board and parents
- Develop and implement procedures
- Attend board meetings, providing written reports and advice to the board
- Complete monthly financial requirements such as billing, payables,receivables and payroll
- Purchase supplies,services and equipment as needed according to the operating budget
- Arrange staff scheduling to ensure ratios are maintained
- Conduct staff performance reviews
