Description

Reports to the CRL Director and supervises all Swift Current branch staff.
Manages the day-to-day operations
Plans for the future of the library
Acts as secretary to the local library board and works collaboratively in developing and supporting the libraries goals and objectives
Provides reference and program expertise to all
Plans and supervises programs and services that support the goals and mission of the library
Ensure excellent customer service is provided at the branch
Human resources - Maintain harmonious relations between staff both in the branch and the region
Responsible for hiring, monitoring, supervising and evaluating branch staff in consultation with the Director
Responsible for scheduling staff, staff time sheets and leave approval
Finance, including branch petty cash, banking and bill paying
Allocate the branch capital budget from the city
Provide information on branch needs for the CRL budget
Regional duties
Works as part of the regional management team
Qualifications:
Master of Library and Information Science
Strong Computer skills
Understanding of the philosophy of public library service to people of different ages and cultural backgrounds
Required to obtain Safe Places Certification, RCMP Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check. Willing to show proof of COVID vaccination.
