Seeking a Technical Sales and Purchasing Representative at our Yorkton,Saskatchewan location. If you have a background in industrial manufacturing and distribution and are the kind of person who can talk with everyone from the CEO to the maintenance man on the shop floor, we want to talk with you!
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Responsible for new business development.
Supply Chain Managment
Prospect for new customers, set appointments and demonstrate product and service benefits
Monitor Material Inventory and Source and Procure
Develops strategic relationships with customers to identify and leverage the customers business goals, growth strategies, and profit drivers and deliver the appropriate value proposition strategy
Work with management to develop sales and purchasing strategies and new business prospects and supplier prospects
Respond to customer product and service inquiries
Engage in direct sales activities
Promote existing and new products and services
Anticipate client direction and objectives
Manage a robust sales territory
Maintain cooperative and productive team relationships
Attend training and sales meetings as required
Meet or exceed sales targets
Preference will be given to individuals that show a positive demeanor, a mechanical aptitude and have sales or purchasing experience in a minimum of 2 of the following industries being forestry, industrial, agricultural, mining, municipal, food & beverage and refinery
Expertise in Hydraulic Cylinders, Fluid Power and or Fluid Conveyance business segments
Be sales, service and customer service oriented
Ability to prospect for new clients, very comfortable in cold calling
Maintain customer / vendor relations and build new relationships
Self motivated and the ability to work independently
Meet or exceed annual sales goals, comfortable in using a CRM tool
Completion of post-secondary education an asset but nothing replaces experience
