Job Description: Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Integration, Continuing Care, the Skin and Wound Care Nurse is responsible for establishing processes that will result in care providers having the appropriate supplies and equipment to support their clinical practice and provide safe, efficient and cost effective skin and wound care.
The incumbent is self-directed and there is an expectation that the incumbent will communicate and consult frequently with the Directors of Acute Care, Primary Health Care and Continuing Care regarding skin and wound care initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Basic Life Support and Level C
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Interpersonal skills
Communication skills
Ability to adapt to changing conditions
Assessment skills

Required Qualifications Continued:
Minumum of 5 years recent clinical nursing experience including experience in skin and wound care management.
Completion of the international Interdisciplinary Wound Care Course or equivalent course.
This is a regional position currently based out of North Battleford.

FTE: 1.00
Hours of Work: In a 6 week rotation: 28 shifts of 8.00 hours
