Duties include but not limited to:
Reporting to the General Manager. This position will provide efficient and accurate administrative support and services for the Society. Professionally maintain up-to-date accurate records and reports of the Accounting system. Repsonsible for ensuring all expenditures are coded in compliance with teh chart of accounts.
Qualifications:
- Certificate in Accounting
- Certificate in Sage ACCPAC is definite asset
- 2 years of recognized post-secondary accounting training
Knowledge:
- Knowledge in Aboriginal housing in Urban areas.
- Be familiar with various Agencies that interact with Yorkton Parkland Housing Society.
- Computer efficient.
- Knowledge/experience and/or certification of Sage ACCPAC.
- Experience in budgeting and reporting.
- Must be able to balance a variety of ledgers, prepare monthly trial balances and reconciliations.
- Must be able to perform varied complex and diversified accounting functions related to revenues, expenditures.
- Must display excellent written and oral communication skills as well as organizations skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to learn new skills and to multitask.
- Must be able to sign and "Oath of Confidentiality".
- Possess a valid driver's license.
