Are you a story-teller? Someone who can craft a narrative that impacts an audience? We are seeking someone who can tell our story using social media, grant applications, and impact reports to convey who we are and what we do. With your education and experience you are looking to build relationships with key stakeholders to discover opportunities for us to grow and fulfill our mission.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Finance & Operations you will be:
Raising awareness of the organization by taking the social media reins.
Developing annual advertising strategies and methods.
Researching potential funding sources that speak to our mission.
Applying for and successfully acquiring grants.
Forming and fostering relationships with key stakeholders both inside and outside the organization.
This role is new to our organization and is a great opportunity for a recent graduate who can grow the role and their career!
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Post-Secondary degree with a focus on business or communications or similar.
Knowledge of, or experience working, with non-profit organizations is an asset.
Excellent computer and software skills.
Ability to work easily and effectively with diverse groups, build relationships, be articulate and engaging.
SKILLS AND COMPENTENCIES
Persuasive and professional writing, presentation, and website communication skills.
Strong relationship building skills, approachable with timely follow through.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple demands in a dynamic and time sensitive environment.
Positive, professional representative and demonstrates the highest professional standards.
