INNOVATION PLACE is recruiting for a Manager, Building Operations to lead a highly-skilled team responsible for the safe and effective operation and maintenance of buildings in the Regina portfolio.

Much of your work will be accomplished through the actions of your direct reports who you will lead, coach and support in their day-to-day activities.  You will encourage their skill development and ensure they receive training appropriate to their positions.

Upholding our high standards of customer service, you will develop strategic relationships with our tenants to better understand their needs.  You will be proactive in your approach to manage the built environment and coordinate the activity of operations employees and external contractors when required.

Financial responsibilities include developing, administering and monitoring department specific budgets for all buildings as well as monitoring monthly financial statements.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
-demonstrated ability to provide leadership that empowers employees
-comprehensive understanding of commercial buildings from experience in operations including complex HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing systems and a broad knowledge of construction trades
-solid understanding of budgets, forecasting and financial reporting as well as an understanding of legal and contractual issues
-exceptional interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills
-eight years of experience in the operation of commercial buildings and the management and supervision of employees
-Professional Applied Science Technologist and/or Inter-Provincial Journeyperson in a Construction Trade and/or Fourth Class Power Engineer License would all be considered assets
-professional designations in Facilities or Maintenance Management would be considered assets
