We are looking for a Milling Machinist with experience on large boring machines to join our team!
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Journeyman machinist
- 6-9 years experience
- Experience with medium to large boring machines
- Ability to run variety of CNC machines: lathes, mills, grinders, slotters, hobbers
- Commitment to providing outstanding service
- Experience in a shop environment
THE JOB:
- Setup, program, and operate CNC boring mills based on engineered drawings
- Run variety of machines including lathes, mills, slotters, and hobbing machines
- Understand tool limitations and controls during operation
- Operate machines within tight tolerances and knowledge of feeds and speeds
- Precise measurement utilizing calipers and maintaining specifications
- Operate 50-tonne overhead crane with expert rigging techniques
- Inspect work according to ISO standards
