Description

LNS Farms Inc., located at NW 04-13-07-2 RM of Chester No. 125 (PO Box 276), Glenavon, Saskatchewan S0G 1Y0, is looking to hire a full-time Field Crop Foreman to work with management team assisting in the production of field crops on their 20,000 acre farm. The successful applicant would be required to monitor and record crop health. Job duties would include scouting crops for pests and diseases and weed identification. This information would be regularly shared with the management team along with treatment recommendations. During peak periods, general farm duties including operating farm equipment will also be required as needed. In winter months, preparation, maintenance and calibration of cropping equipment and facilities may also be required. Responsible also to maintain safety protocols and to mentor seasonal staff as required.

Job requirements: Completion of post-secondary Agriculture training; minimum of 3 years experience working on large grain or oilseed farm; skilled in weed, disease and pest identification along with strong computer skills; English language proficiency, excellent written and oral communication skills; eligibility for Saskatchewan driver's licence; experience operating large tractors for seeding as well as combines, swathers and sprayers; ability to work independently and with a team; ability to work long hours in peak season.

Employment details: Full-time and permanent; wage at $23/hour; average work week is 40 hours in non-peak times; benefits according to applicable  federal and provincial labour standards; workplace safety insurance; accommodation available, if required.
