Accountability
The Tenant Services Placement Officer reports to the Tenant Services Manager for direction and supervision.
Purpose and Key Responsibilities
The principal functions of this position are: to ensure that vacant units are quickly occupied by responsible qualified tenants; to maintain an up-to-date wait list of Family applicants for Prince Albert Housing Authority, process transfer requests, and ensure annual Lease Renewals are completed for family tenants. The key responsibilities are:
Work with Accounts Payable to notify Tenants regarding their financial obligation
Complete rent adjustments as needed.
Complete annual lease renewals as assigned
Process incoming applications by entering into JDE, assess, interview (office or home visit interviews) then place according to the selection criteria, for housing.
Recommend applicants for placement or rejection and notify applicants accordingly.
Maintain an up-to-date waiting list and run application/selection report.
Show units to applicants in accordance with current placement procedures.
Calculate rent (lease), sign leases, provide information to tenant for move in, enter all data regarding leases into JDE.
Maintain a current vacancy list.
Establish a communication liaison with the Maintenance Department as to the progress of vacant units.
Act as backup for the Office Assistant and Tenant Services Support Officer as required
