Under the authority of the director of the Educational Center "the educator" is responsible for all aspects concerning the overall development of the children, their hygiene, their health, their well-being and their safety. He/She is also responsible for planning and implementing the program for the age group for which he/she is responsible.

- Prepare progress reports and discuss with parents and other staff members
- Plan and develop child care and nursery school programs
- Assess the developmental level of children

- Assist in housekeeping duties
- Maintain day care supplies and equipment
Early Childhood Educator Assistant Skills
- Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them
- Guide children in development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- Conduct and monitor activity programs designed for young children
- Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers
- Arrange transition periods such as lunch and rest for children
