Description

The Metis Addictions Council of Saskatchewan Inc., (MACSI),is a non-profit community based provincial organization that has a long history of serving the people of Saskatchewan for over 50 years. Maintenance Worker of MACSI will be responsible for the maintenance and up-keep of an addictions treatment facility and its grounds.

Responsibilities include:
-Performance of minor repair and preventative maintenance throughout the building and its equipment
-Responsible for cleanliness and tidiness of the building to ensure a safe and healthy workplace
-Responsible for ensuring the company van is regularly fueled, cleaned, tidied, and maintained
-Activities include: cleaning washrooms and ensuring their necessities are adequately stocked, sweeping and mopping of the facility's general and common areas, emptying and removing any garbage/recycling bins that are full
-General building up-keep such as painting and touch-up work
-Responsible for the maintenance of the centre's grounds and yard
-The arrangement of external trades persons for duties that cannot be completed or repaired by internal maintenance
-May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts, or equipment if necessary to fulfill the requirements of the addictions centre
-Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners when cleaning the facility
