Job Description: Reporting to the Manager of Labour Relations, the Labour Relations Consultant (LRC) is responsible for the coordination and implementation of Labour Relations programs for SHA (Saskatoon), including affiliates. The incumbent will bring value-added professional advice on all labour relations and organizational change issues. The LRC will research and analyze facts, trends and statistical data in order to make recommendations and provide strategic advice as it relates to resolving labour relations issues and concerns that affect SHA (Saskatoon) in particular and Saskatchewan health care relations provincially. The LRC will contribute to the development of corporate policies, protocols and projects that directly contribute to improving the labour relations environment within SHA (Saskatoon).
Required Qualifications

A University degree or other formal training in Human Resource Management and/or several years experience in Human Resources administration.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
Ability to make quick and accurate day to day decisions.
A knowledge of Human Resources programs and systems
Understanding of the principles of progressive discipline.
Ability to work in a team environment and use participatory decision-making.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions and judgments supported by relevant legislation, precedence, etc.
Strong demonstrated ability to direct, teach and interrelate with managers, administrative personnel and staff.
Knowledge and understanding of the collective barga
