Description

Located in Saskatoon, this is a permanent full-time opportunity with an organization that prioritizes inclusion, innovation, and client satisfaction. Supporting the manufacturing team, the successful candidate will create, implement and oversee quality assurance metrics, measures, inspections, and audits, with a goal of exceeding industry standards.

The Role:
Create and Implement Product Quality Plans
Ensure materials ordered and received for projects meet specifications
Assist production team as required
Assist fabrication department in layouts as required
Create Inspection and Test Plans, SOPs, and other Quality Assurance documents as necessary
Perform and report on inspections of materials and produced components
Achievement of Quality Goals
Work with other QA department staff at other company locations
Audit Processes/procedures to confirm conformance and present results to management

The Ideal Candidate:
Required familiarity with QA principles and concepts
Able to accurately interpret codes, standards, specifications, and drawings
Have an understanding of continuous improvement
Understanding of repair procedures and processes
Mechanically inclined
Ability to work quickly, accurately and thoroughly on multiple initiatives
Organized, diligent, and detailed
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Required experience and qualifications:
Minimum of three years of direct professional experience in QA systems, regulations and guidelines, associated standards
Completion of Grade 12
Post-secondary education in a Quality or Manufacturing field is an asset
Experience in estimating an asset
Training and certification in inspection standards and non-destructive testing an asset
Level 1 CWB Weld Inspection certified with appropriate code endorsements for the project at hand for all mechanical QA/QC is an asset
Effective leadership skills with a strong focus on Quality Assurance
