Description

We are committed to recruiting & retaining talented Electrical Engineering Technologists to work with our team in the field.  We believe that diversity & inclusion strengthen our company.  The successful candidate will work with our team on various projects throughout Saskatchewan and other provinces.

Duties & Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, & repair of low, medium & high voltage equipment in a safe & efficient manner
Commissioning, & start-up of low, medium, & high voltage equipment & apparatus associated with an electrical power system
Act as liaison with subcontractors & clients, develop customer service relationships
Supervise/lead projects to ensure successful project execution according to company & client standards
Provide mentorship to junior technologists & support to team members
Ensure completion of technical reports & test sheets
Conduct work in a manner prescribed by JA Techs Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Manual

Skills & Qualifications
Diploma from recognized Electrical Engineering Technology Program-Registration with applicable professional association in good standing
Minimum 5 years field experience on industrial/oil & gas/utility sites with proven leadership experience and experience with relays
Able to manage multiple priorities
Experience drafting is an asset
    Experience with testing equipment (Omicron, Doble, etc.) & relay testing with various equipment (SEL, GE, Siemens, ABB, etc.)
Experience in substations
Ability to understand & perform technically complex calculations
Strong knowledge of drawings (wiring, schematic, & layout)
Valid Drivers Licence
Able to travel & remain at project sites as required
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Compensation Package
Salary dependent on experience
