A Motel Maintenance Worker needed by Thriftlodge Motel Moose Jaw

Full-time, permanent work including weekends in Moose Jaw, SK

Starting wage: $21.00 per hour.

Location of work: Highway #1 East, Moose Jaw, SK (7 min drive from Moose Jaw city center)

Requirements
We are looking for an experienced motel maintenance worker. You must be honest, reliable, have a positive attitude and able to communicate in English. We require a minimum 1 year of direct experience with maintaining and repairing a property ideally in a motel or hotel setting. Trades background is an asset. The successful candidate must have experience with the below duties and responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
-    Keep motel maintained and fix or organize a repair of any problem as needed.
-    Conduct routine inspections of the hotel premises in order to check for maintenance issues.
-    Perform elementary painting and repairing of walls, as well as furniture, cabinets, and windows.
-    Put new light bulbs, fix broken furniture, fix minor electrical issues, fix leaking faucets
-    Perform preventative maintenance.
-    Oversee contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
-    Changing settings on cooling and heating equipment.
-    Perform general cleaning tasks outside the hotel's building, including landscaping, and snow removal activities.
-    Work together with the front office manager and housekeepers, and connect with the manager to discuss any aspect of operations which will involve the maintenance department.
