Description

SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced line cook who will take pride in being responsible for ensuring that the customer is completely satisfied with their meal, every time they come into our restaurant. Customers will include residents of the Village, as well as members of the general public.

We are looking for a line cook who is eager to learn, and work in a friendly team orientated environment. Bringing a fresh and creative touch, you will prepare food to the chefs exact menu specifications. As a line cook, you with also ensure set-up stations for menus are properly stocked and ready for service! An attention to detail and passion for the job is mandatory.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Maintaining stocking levels and proper set-up and take-down needed for service.
Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment.
Proper teamwork and communication to ensure accurate representation of meal items.
Prepare food for senior living, and childcare in accordance with dietary needs and food safety.
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously in a timely fashion with proper communication with front of house.
Comply with nutrition and food sanitation regulations and safety standards.
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen.
Controlling and minimizing wastage.
Ensuring proper rotation (FIFO) of new product and existing.
Cleaning and Sanitizing of entire kitchen and equipment helping with the steward.
Working as a team to ensure proper food prep, pulls, and success for the entire kitchen team.
Maintain employee and family confidentiality.
Maintains professional, supportive and responsive interpersonal communication skills.
Experience cooking in a fast-paced environment
Flexible and open availability
