Company Background
Donalds Fine Foods, a family-owned global provider of high-quality specialty meat products, has an exciting opportunity for experienced Meat Cutters/Butchers, based out of our Moose Jaw, SK location.
Brief Job Description:
A Skilled Meat Cutter is responsible for ensuring all meat cuts meet the specifications and yield requirements in accordance with production and customer needs. The incumbent must be able to demonstrate excellent knife skills and maintain line speed with strict adherence to all applicable policies, practices, and legislation including GMP, Food Safe, and WorkSafe SK.

Responsibilities
1. Perform all of the following cuts at production line speed
2. Lift neck bones
3. Trim loins and buts
4. Bone all primal and subprimal pork cuts to specification
5. Jowl removal
6. Bone out picnics and buckeyes
7. Pull side ribs
8. Communicate effectively with Plant Superintendent, Production Supervisor, and Lead Hands to ensure cuts are being performed as assigned and required
9. Perform other Level 1 Meat Cutter duties as needed
10. Follow all WorkSafe SK, CFIA, HACCP, and other applicable regulations
Requirements:
1. Ability to accurately work at production line speed
2. 2 years experience as a qualified Level 2 cut floor employee
3. Must have basic working English (verbal)
4. Consistent commitment to working safely
5. Demonstrated ability to react to situations with a strong sense of urgency using a creative and logical approach to resolution
6. Ability to work in a cold environment and tolerate standing for long periods of time
7. Ability to work in a team based environment
