Duties and responsibilities
Prepare teaching plans and schedules, demonstrate movements and techniques of relative martial arts to and lead one-on-one or group classes;
Attend to customers with special needs;
Recommend therapeutic recreational or athletic activities to students;
Monitor in-class activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required;
Assist marketing/recruitment events and communication with students of all age groups;
keep logs, maintain records and prepare reports.
Qualifications and skills
High school diploma or at least 2 years experience in a martial arts instructor role is required; completion of 1-2 years college/university program in a martial arts related field is preferred;
Good communication and interpersonal skills, must be patient with students of all age groups;
At least 3 years training experience in traditional Chinese martial arts or Sanda;
Mastery of Eight Diagrams Palm (Ba Gua Zhang), Shape & Thought Boxing (Xing Yi Quan), or Shadowboxing (Tai Ji Quan) is preferred;
Having official ranks in the Chinese Martial Arts Dan Rank System is preferred.
