Labourer - Highway Maintenance

SCH Maintenance Services Ltd is currently seeking Labourers. This is a seasonal position starting May 2022 until tentatively end of October.

What is the role?
The Labourer is part of a dedicated crew responsible for providing maintenance services to the Regina Bypass. Operations include grass trimming, debris pickup, surface repairs, line painting, maintenance of signs, cable barriers, and guardrails, and traffic accommodation.
- Works under the Shift Supervisor to complete work required to meet expectations, standards, and timelines outlined in contract with the client;
- Ability to identify the work that needs to be done and prioritize it in accordance with the Shift Supervisors decisions;
- Ensures timely accurate communication of all information and completion of all required documentation;
- Be courteous, address members of the public or coworkers in a professional manner;
- Complies with and contributes to the improvement of the Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems;
- Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner; identifies maintenance required;
- Other duties as required.

What do we value?
- Possess a Class 5 drivers license with a clean driver's abstract
- Physically able to complete labour work
- Experience related to highway maintenance is a plus but not required
- Ability to work continuously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently
- Ability to work with a smartphone using specific apps for work reports
- Participates with the team and promotes a positive attitude
