Description

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Assistant Meat Department Team Leader at our Food Store location in Nipawin, SK.

Responsibilities for this position include the following:
Demonstrate the day-to-day behaviors and actions that align with and strengthen Lake Country Co-operatives vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety
Assist in leading a culture of safety and maximizing operational efficiency
Assist in providing leadership through coaching, development and feedback
To assist with the activities and operations of the Nipawin Meat Department to achieve budgeted goals including but not limited to ordering, merchandising, margins, expenses, culture, recruiting, scheduling, productivity and performance
Procurement, receiving and merchandising of product with focus on customer- friendly presentation
Other Duties as assigned

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and customer service and:
You have a grade 12 or equivalent experience; Approved Retail Meat Cutting course or previous retail meat cutting experience especially in the CRS would be considered an asset
Youre well organized, capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision
You must be able to plan and organized your own work and that of others, supervise others, and delegate to others
Youre honest and trustworthy, are results-orientated, and strive to be the best in what you do
You are familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices
Physically fit  involves heavy lifting and extensive manual labour
You have the ability to work in a fast paced, guest service facing environment
You have a flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
