Description

Responsibilities and Duties:
Bathing assist for both male and female residents.
Serve the Residents their meals and assist them to eat as needed.
Housekeeping
Monitoring and administering medication as per doctors orders (after additional training)
Doing residents laundry
Assisting residents in the home with their Activities of Daily living
Includes, denture care, bathing /showering, making beds, assisting to Activities, toileting residents (assisting with changing of incontinent products as needed)
Monitor Vital signs as need and report changes to the Nurse on duty
Provide specialized care in oxygen therapy, urinary catheter, insulin therapy (after additional training)
Qualifications:
Personal Care Worker Course (provided to successful applicants)
Criminal record check and vulnerable sector check
Medication Assistance Module provided through the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health (provided to           successful applicants)  
CPR/First Aid with AED

Various training, including those noted above, may be provided upon employment.
