Description

Prairie West Automotive is a locally owned and operated used vehicle dealership and automotive service centre. We take pride in our business, from the quality of vehicles sold and repairs done. Continuously expanding, we are in need to add more technicians to our service centre.  

Ideal candidates are hard working, driven individuals. Looking for a 2nd, 3rd, 4th or Journeyman level mechanic, with experience working in a shop setting. Able to perform strongly as an individual, follow written and verbal instructions, work in a fast paced manner, communicate effectively.

Prairie West Automotive is offering competitive wages from $20/ up to $45/hr, dependent on certification levels and prior work experience. With working hours of Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm (one hour lunches), with statutory holidays off.

Skills and attributes;
- Valid certification (of 2nd, 3rd, 4th apprentice or Journeyman level)
- Strong diagnosis skills
- Personal tool box with enough tools and equipment for varying work
- Commitment to quality and excellence
- Punctual time management
- Team player, working well with others




Job responsibilities;

- Pre-delivery inspection for dealership vehicles
- Test drive and diagnosis vehicle issues and advise action to repair
- Repair and replace mechanical components
- Perform engine and transmission repairs
- Perform regular vehicle maintenance for customers
- Make accurate adjustments for wheel alignments
- Operation of power tools, air tools and equipment
- Maintain shop cleanliness
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy
