Description

The job duties and responsibilities
of the position are as follows:
Inspect and maintain vehicles for proper performance according to company's policies and safety procedures;
Perform day-to-day and scheduled maintenance services on equipment and/or vehicles such as oil
change, clean, lubricate and tune-ups;
Examine vehicle in operation, test automotive systems, road test motor vehicle, and parts using
computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to identify and repair the malfunctions;
Alter, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems such as brakes, suspension,
fuel system, steering, emission control systems, exhaust, cooling and climate control, engine, and
electronic systems using hand and power tools, if required;
Diagnose and test mechanical units, such as brakes, engines, transmissions, to determine faults;
Examine and adjust malfunctions and physical defects using testing equipment and to ensure
proper performance of repaired equipment and vehicles and find out if further repairs required;
Adjust, replace or repair components of commercial transport truck systems including cab,
chassis, frame, body, engine, air brakes, fuel, steering and electronic systems;
To ensure that work meets companies policies and manufactures requirements;
Providing report of damaged or faulty equipment to management;
Diagnose malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or
replace parts and/or units;
Recommend measures to improve performance of equipment and vehicles;
And ,make ensure vehicle safety and maintenance checks are completed.
