Assist in planning and implementation of summer programs, including working with children and youth, facilitating, providing transportation, and fundraising as designated. Also assist with some long term planning for ongoing/mentoring programs.
Qualifications: Shall be 16 years of age or older and currently a full time student plus will need to be attending secondary or post secondary education in the fall of 2022 preferably in the field of the human sciences, education, or in a health and fitness field.
Knowledge and Required Skills:
Interact in a positive supportive manner with children and youth
Possess excellent organizational and time management skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Good computer skills required
Be available to work some weekends and flexible hours
Be able to follow direction
Have the ability to work in an unsupervised setting
Highly motivated and energetic
Valid Driver's license and good driving abstract
1st Aid and CPR training an asset.
This position is a 8 to 12 week position dependent on funding through Canada Summer Jobs. The wage depends on experience and may be negotiable.
Training will be provided: Includes Child Safety Training and Facilitation Training.
