Description:
The welder is a permanent, full-time member of the Saskatoon Westeel Team, which helps with all welding of quality production. The welder uses MIG equipment to assist in the creation of smooth-wall bins and hoppers through drawings, verbal direction, or written work orders. They are responsible for maintaining their equipment and company property.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

-Weld to CWB standards.
-Weld sheet Metal with MIG welders.
-Actively supports and complies with safety programs, quality assurance programs, labour laws, human rights legislation and occupational health and safety law
-Actively supports and complies with all Westeel's policies and procedures.
-To work with fellow team members to produce a high-quality product safely and efficiently.
-Assist in the manufacturing and prepping of all products.
-Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of all Westeel equipment.
-Assist in the housekeeping and cleanliness of the facility.
-Must be able to understand and conduct written and verbal instructions per supervisors requests.
-Maintenance of MIG welders and variety of jigs.
-Read drawings and follow work orders.
-Must be capable of working under minimum amount of supervision.
-Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

-Education & Experience:  
-Grade 12 education.
-One year welding knowledge (Preferably with MIG welders)
-Reliable vehicle.
-Valid drivers license
-Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, WHIMIS, and First Aid certifications are beneficial
-Experience in a factory or industrial plant setting would be beneficial.
-Flexible schedule with ability to work early mornings and evenings.
-Excellent communication and ability to work as a part of a team.
