The Ministry of Highways, Operations is accepting summer student applications for summer student Equipment Operators at our Swift Current, Maple Creek, Cadillac, Leader and Shaunavon Sections.

To qualify as a summer student you must be going into full time studies in the fall of 2022.

In the position you will:

- Maintain maintenance equipment - fueling equipment, checking fluid levels, washing units;
- Survey/Premark pavement markings on newly constructed and overlaid sections of highway;
- Flag traffic;
- Set up work zones signs;
- Plan and install highways pavement signs;
- Manual labour - shovelling and raking to fill pot holes and repair highway cracks;
- Clean yards and shops;
- Some computer or office work may be assigned.
