Reporting to the Executive Director, the Accountant will be responsible for the accurate, timely, and effective recording, monitoring, filing, and reporting of all the financial records of the Saskatchewan Prevention Institute.
The position is located in an office environment in Saskatoon.

Specific Accountabilities
The Accountant with work with the Executive Director and Prevention Institute staff to prepare, monitor, and report on core and program budgets and finances.
Accomplishing this involves the following accountabilities:
Budgeting and Financial Reporting
Financial Audit (internal preparation and work with external auditor)
Payroll, Benefits, and Remittances
Financial Management
Relationship (Internal and External)
Expertise and Skill (including proficiency with SAGE 300, understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, and others required by the position)

- Act as trustee in bankruptcy proceedings
- Provide financial, business and tax advice

- Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedure
