The role of a landscaper worker consists of landscaping or maintaining grounds of property using hand or power tools & equipment.
Responsibilities:
Care for lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding & tree trimming & edging around flower beds, walks & walls;
Maintain & repair equipment, tools, & structures such as building, greenhouses, fences & benches, using hand & power tools;
Follows all equipment safety measures;
Mow & edge lawns, using power mowers & edgers;
Operate vehicles & powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin- axel vehicles, snowblowers, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, & pruning saws;
Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters & other ground features;
Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedge & brush trimmers & axes;
Maintains a clean job site.
Qualification & Requirements:
Ability to work outdoors in all-weather condition.
Commercial Drivers License (preferred) & reputable driving record.
Proficient heavy equipment operating skills including front end loaders, mini-excavators, & skid steer machinery with various attachments; other construction equipment as needed.
Knowledge & experience installing a variety of hardscape applications.
Knowledge of perennials, shrubs, evergreens, & trees; identification & culture requirements.
Highly motivated, self-driven individual who is detail orientated.
Excellent attention to detail while working in fun & fast paced environment.
Good time management skills; be available for long hours year-round.
Ability to prioritize & multi-task.
Able to work effectively with individuals of differing knowledge & background (i.e., clientele, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, & other designers).
