Description

We are seeking a highly motivated electrical estimator to join our team. This individual will have excellent current knowledge of both commercial and industrial electrical systems and installation practices along with electrical codes and regulations.

SHIFT/HOURS: 5 days a week; 8 hours per day, Over time paid after 40 hrs/week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in site reviews, prepare tender risk assessments, and tender reviews.
Accurately calculate material and quantity take-offs from drawings.
Review specifications and design drawings to determine the total scope of work to be performed and material requirements.
Oversee price packages from suppliers and subcontractors.
Maintaining files of working documents to be used as backups for estimate figures as well as maintaining current and accurate information on supplier prices, price lists, unit prices and quantity estimates.
Examining and analyzing estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness of work pricing.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Journeyman Electrician, Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Technologist certificate.
2 years working knowledge of ACCUBID software a requirement.
Proven ability to meet deadlines.
Multitasking and ability to prioritize while maintaining an attention to detail.
Excellent knowledge of industry products, practices and standards.
Experience in working with Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Excel and Word.
Excellent ability to think critically and problem solve outside of the box.
Effective communication skills verbal and written.
Willing to train the right individual that possesses the right combination of experience and education along with the right attitude.
Maintain clean driving abstract.
