The Town of Gravelbourg is seeking to fill both full-time and seasonal Public Works position(s).
Placement within the department grid will be dependent on the abilities, qualifications, experience and certifications of the applicant.
Depending on the placement level, individuals must be capable of operating town owned equipment, including motor grader, tractor-backhoe, street sweeper, landscaping equipment and portable steamer/boiler.
The successful person(s) will be responsible for performing all Town related labor duties as required. This includes but is not limited to regular and emergency maintenance, repair work on below and above grade infrastructure, such as:
-water and sewer
-transportation network
-arena operations
-building maintenance
-open space and sport fields
-or any duties as assigned
Work requires exposure to all weather conditions. A current SGI driver's abstract and criminal record check is required.
Qualifications considered assets:
Water Distribution 1, Wastewater Treatment 1, Wastewater Collection 1, Power Mobile Equipment Operator Certification, experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment, landscape pesticide license, 5th class power engineer certification.
The 2022 wage rates per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Town of Gravelbourg and Canadian Union of Public Employees, local 4341
