Drive and operate trucks.
Follow instructions; locate and read location and road maps.
Pre-inspect truck.
Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed.
Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy.
Complete daily truck log and submit reports of mileage covered at EOD.
Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately.
Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible.
Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business.
Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.
Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management.
Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules.
Plan and arrange the required documentation to transport goods to destination.
Operate tractor-Trailor weighing over 4500 kg to transport goods and material to the long-distance destinations.
Loading and unloading trucks
Completing a daily truck log and submitting mileage reports
Conducting daily vehicle pre-trip, en route and post trip inspections and reporting any problems
Complying with company and government regulations and rules
Securing cargo and dealing with hazardous materials safely, as needed
Communicating with dispatchers and other drivers using onboard radios or computers
Performing emergency repairs like patching tires when needed

Requirement-
Preferred 0-6 months experience as a Long-Haul Truck Driver
Class 1 Driver license
