Description

The Moose Jaw Multicultural Council is seeking a dynamic and forward thinking Settlement Services Program Manager.  Programs under guidance of the SSM include: Settlement Services, Resettlement Assistance Program, Case Management, Settlement Workers in Schools and Community Connections.

Main Duties include (not limited to):
Oversee day-to-day operations
Determining staffing requirements, recruiting, interviewing and selecting staff
Responsible for training, leading/coaching, evaluation, and discipline of program staff
Managing staff caseloads
Support, advise and ensure staff wellness when dealing with difficult caseloads
Mandatory reporting
Prepare elements of funding proposals
Cash-flow forecasting and managing program expenditures
Policy development
Committees work and establishing community partnerships
Act as a professional advisor to the Executive Director

Qualifications Are:
Bachelors degree or diploma in human services or social sciences preferred
Experience in a management or leadership type role is preferred; experience in the sector will be taken into consideration.
Experience working with vulnerable populations
Extensive knowledge of the settlement and integration process
Knowledge of leadership and management principles and practices as they relate to non-profit organizations
Ability to make informed and objective decisions
Working knowledge of regulations such as: labour standards, human rights, occupational health and safety, privacy and confidentiality
Good understanding of current community challenges and opportunities relating to the vision and mission of the organization
Working knowledge of financial management and project management
Ability to handle high degrees of stress
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional relationships
Ability to work flexible hours
Excellent organizational and communication skills
