Description

The House Services Assistant provides overall support to families, volunteers, and RMHC-SK as we work together in supporting families who have sick children in the hospital. You will play a vital role in supporting all aspects of House operations including: family service and program support, fund development (fundraising/special events), volunteer development, House Services, Food Programs and facility support.

Summary of Responsibilities
Ensure exceptional level of hospitality and warmth for all people entering the House
Provide support to families through the Family Service Office. This could include:guest check-inand check-out, family orientation tours, processing payments,utilizing the database, maintaining a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality.
Provide support to Family Programs, activities, special events and Food Programs
Be sensitive to the needs of families, maintain supportive and open communication and work to provide a comforting atmosphere

2.FUND DEVELOPMENT AND EVENT SUPPORT
Assist Fund Development staff in coordinating fundraising and third party events
Attend and support RMHC-SK fundraising and community outreach events as needed

3.VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT
Assist in supervision and support of volunteers and volunteer groups
With help from staff members, provide direction and support during group volunteer experiences and projects

4. HOUSE SUPPORT
Assist in tracking, restocking and organizing donations and house supplies as needed
Communicate housekeeping needs or house maintenance to appropriate staff and assist as needed
Maintain order and cleanliness of House supply and storage spaces.

5.   GENERAL
Participate in staff meetings when possible
Activate emergency protocols for family issues/house maintenance  as per training
Assist in tasks, programs and events that support the overall operations of the House and our mission of keeping families close.
