We are currently hiring a Parts Detailer for our 56th Street location. Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the Parts Detailer is responsible for reading drawings and specifications provided, interpreting basic weld symbols, and processing raw materials to meet the requirements for the type and quantity of parts, required for current or future projects. The primary responsibilities of this role will include:
Responsible for working in accordance with OH&S regulations, JNE safe work procedures, ISO procedures, and JNE values/code of conduct
Material handling of raw material and finished parts
Responsible for reasonable control of raw material inventory
Responsible use of consumables and finished parts
Ability to interpret drawings
Demonstrate proficiency in operating oxygen/acetylene torch, plasma torch, press, iron worker, band saw, shear, and drill or oxygen/acetylene torch, plasma torch, press, shear, drill, and brake
Maintain equipment and report any required repairs
Ensure appropriate equipment and rigging is utilized in area
Ensure work is being completed to specifications and acceptable standards
Maintain good housekeeping in area
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
4 7 years of related experience
40 - hour crane training
Capable of setting up jigs
Good knowledge of material size, types, shapes, and grades
Grade 10 with advanced math
Excellent attention to detail skills and accuracy
Good interpersonal and communication skills
