Key responsibilities:
- Monitors plant personnel practices and plant environment/equipment for adherence to GMPs; coaching plant personnel as needed to educate employees per observed deviations
- Monitor various testing performed in the plant per specific requirements affecting product quality (Labeling, Packaging) and Cannabis safety (sanitizer station concentrations.
- Collect and analyze product samples throughout the plant
- Grading of product based on documented parameters; assess product quality on packaging lines
- Initiates maintain and resolve: ingredient, packaging or product QC Holds when needed
- Complete QC reports summarizing deviations noted during a shift per a scope of entire facility
- Understanding of good laboratory practices and HBLC testing
- Calibrate, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment
- Frequently handling various acids in the lab including diluting, mixing, and neutralizing
- Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning and waste disposal
- Working with hotplate, shaker, micro pipettes, HPLC testing equipment, Analytical Balance and Micro Balance
- Follow all SOPs and QC Procedures and review COAs.
- Complete all other tasks related to the position, as assigned by your manager

Qualifications:
*Health Canada security cleared candidates will be given priority during the recruitment process*
- 1-2 year Technical Program Diploma
- 12 years of work experience in an analytical lab environment with testing and sampling.
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) is required
- Experience with HPLC and GC-MS would be an asset
- Previous cannabis experience is an asset but not required
