The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Education/CEO, Horizon School Division is seeking a strategic, innovative, and inspirational leader to be an integral part of the Division and Senior Leadership Teams. The Superintendent of Inclusive Education shall have responsibilities in providing leadership in the development of procedures for psychological services, speech/language services, and the development and delivery of appropriate and effective programing for students with diverse and intensive needs. The Superintendent also provides leadership in testing services, student designation processes, student transitions, home-based education, driver's education, and budget management within assigned areas.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Provide leadership and support to ensure all students with diverse and intensive needs are provided with appropriate supports.
Ensure effective education programming for students with diverse and intensive needs.
Provide leadership in the engagement of partner agencies in support of students with diverse and intensive needs.
Provide leadership and support for home-based education programming.
Provide leadership and support for driver education programming.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Education.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a school principal.
Eligible for a Saskatchewan teaching certificate.
Eligible for membership in the League of Educational Administrators, Directors and Superintendents (LEADS).
Demonstrated commitment to student learning, growth and achievement.
