Wakamow Valley Authority is seeking a full time Seasonal Maintenance team member. They will be required to perform various duties under the direction of an immediate supervisor, such as: operate various power equipment required for the completion of assigned duties including push/self-propelled mowers, weed whips, chainsaws, cutters, edgers, trimmers, etc. maintenance duties on park areas include weeding, watering, grass cutting; heavy cleaning and maintenance on park facilities including washroom maintenance, floor/wall cleaning, vacuuming, set-up tables and chairs, take downs of tables and chairs, etc. Must operate vehicles for the purpose of transporting employees and equipment to work sites.
Responsibilities
1.Assist with various duties under the direction of an immediate supervisor, such as: operate various power equipment required for the completion of assigned duties including push / self-propelled mowers, weed whips, chainsaws, cutters, trimmers, within the valley. 40%
2.Maintenance duties on park areas including weeding, watering, grass cutting; heavy cleaning and garbage pick up. 30%
3.Maintenance of park facilities including washroom maintenance, floor/wall cleaning, vacuuming, lifting and setting -up tables, chairs, and taking downs of tables and chairs, etc. 15%
4.Operate vehicle varieties for the purpose of transporting employees and equipment to work sites.  ie trucks, mowers, bobcat, gators, etc.15%
This position is required: Being physically fit to bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50lbs, Ability to work outside during all weather conditions. (heat, rain, wind and snow), Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time. Ability to work within a team or independently. Ability for follow safety instructions. Must have a valid class 5 license. Work in a harmonious manner with supervisors, co-workers and the general public.
*Job runs from now until November. Ability to work a variety of shift between the hours of 6:00am and Midnight*
