Description

Working under the direction of the Chief and Council, the Director of Operations will be responsible for the overall representation of Council and its governance to all external and internal stakeholders. The Director of Operations is responsible for the ongoing success of the operations and strategic planning. Internally, the Director of Operations will focus on the ongoing improvement of the First Nations processes to ensure maximum communication and council transparency. Externally, the Director of Operations will establish key long-term relationships with business partners that enhance the First Nations representation for its members. The Director of Operations will attend meetings, propose policies and practices, sit on various committees, and will submit various reports to the council, members, and other stakeholders.  Acting as an advocate, the Director of Operations will promote CTK First Nation, as a whole through strategic public relations and government interactions.  The Director of Operations will be relied upon to perform business development duties, including the creation of suitable and beneficial partnerships.  Other responsibilities will include overall performance of the departments, budgets and proposal writing. Other duties as defined by Chief and Council.
