Hillsvale Colony School is Kindergarten to Grade 9 , with 2 classes and 29 students.
Summary of position
Educational Assistants are an important part of the school team and promote engagement, participation and success of students. Educational Assistants support students with intensive needs in five key areas: providing personal care, life skills and experiences, academic assistance, communication, and behavioural support as required by students and directed by teachers.
As an Educational Assistant, you will focus on supporting various student programming at different grade levels.  We are looking for an individual to do middle years Math and Algebra.
Qualifications
    Minimum Grade 12 education with at least one (1) year relevant childcare experience
    Preference will be given to an individual who has obtained a post-secondary certificate from a recognized institution in Early Learning & Childcare, Youth Care Worker or equivalent program
The Right Person will
    work independently with groups of students from Kindergarten to Grade 9;
    has good behavior management skills;
    genuinely appreciate working with children and demonstrate patience, show empathy, and help make learning fun;
    possess strong planning and organizational skills while showing initiative;
    have excellent communication skills; and
    be enthusiastic and thrive in a team environment.
