What you'll do:
- Collaborate with internal and external partners and senior leaders in executing the venture capital strategy
- Provide strategic recommendations on strategy, frameworks, policies, metrics and best practices for the venture capital program
- Recommend investment and partnership opportunities
- Direct and perform due diligence
- Build and maintain relationships with fund managers, industry partners, investors and other stakeholders
- Develop and provide effective reporting, forecasting, analytics and monitoring of program outcomes and financial results
- Coach and mentor a team of high-performing analysts and manager, establishing clear direction, priorities and performance metrics

What you'll need:
-A degree in finance, business or commerce and at least 15 years of related leadership experience supplemented by a CPA, CFA or MBA designation (or an equivalent combination of education and experience); Extensive knowledge of venture capital investments and fund design
-Ability to develop successful teams and foster strong relationships
-Understanding of Canadian agriculture and agri-food or venture capital and related regulations and best practices
