Description

The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) has a Term Labour Service opportunity for a Flight Watch Coordinator / Logistics Support at Air Operations, in La Ronge. This position is available to both internal employees and members of the general public.

As a Flight Watch Coordinator / Logistics Support you will be responsible for:
    Providing essential flight following services contributing to the safe flow of the SPSA Aerial Fleet while they are conducting firefighting duties;
    Acting as the primary dispatch liaison between aircraft and land personnel during high fire activity;
    Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet the needs of the organization
    Under the Supervision of the Chief Pilot, assist with maintaining internal Pilot records;
    Coordinating travel arrangements for Flight Operations personnel, when relocating to another base during firefighting operations

To qualify for this position, the successful candidate will typically possess the following qualities;
    Excellent written and communications skills;
    Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
    Knowledge of general office practices and procedures;
    Superior keyboarding / typing skills;
    The ability to work for extended periods of time in high pressure situations;
    Attentive to detail to ensure accuracy and provide quality service

Additional Information:
    The successful candidate must pass a Criminal Record Check as a condition of employment.
    A valid Class 5 driver's licence is required.
    A Restricted Radio Licence is a requirement for this positon, but can be obtained from the employer.
    As an employee of Air Operations, and in accordance with the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency Comprehensive COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, all employees shall either be fully vaccinated or have an approved Medical or Religious exemption.
